My Experiences in ECP

Okay firstly, I’m going to explain to you guys what the ECP is.
The ECP is this programme that was created for the so what “stupid” people that just scraped through high school. Honestly I don’t think that I should be here, because it is bad for my image when I tell girls that I am doing the ECP programme, it’s as if I have to tell people I drive a Honda vtec when I actually drive a fiat Uno.
For me, this course is the type of thing that people commit suicide over. If you fail this, there’s no other way that you will be able to get into any other university, this is almost like the last resort for people that want to make a name for themselves.

Okay, let’s first start with the mathematics. When it comes to the mathematics part I actually focus, because the maths that we are doing now in this year’s course is pretty hectic, it’s like high school, but just that you are now in grade 13, and it is much more difficult. So I will not vent about the mathematics programme (MAM150)
Secondly, we get the life science programme, another one of those grade 13 subjects where they just took high school work, increased the volume, the workload and the difficulty and threw it at us, and all we can do is either catch it, or let it pass us and run after it for the rest of the year. What I mean to say is that if you do not work from the beginning you will never have enough time to catch up at the end of the year. I actually really enjoy the life science module
The finally, I left the best for last. I am really not a bad person, and I don’t like speaking badly about people or things, but actually when I got this opportunity to vent about this ECP programme. Okay, so as you all know, I’m speaking about the ISC module. So if you don’t know what the ISC module is, it’s the introduction to science module. This module consists of many different components such as computer literacy, academic literacy, living and learning (Life orientation “Wanna Be”) but to name a few. Living and learning, we get it once a week, in that period, I honestly just sit back and relax, never take it seriously, I don’t even know if this is a joke they playing on us, but apart from that, I have a good reason to go to that class, I’m actually crushing on the one tutor “Meshay Moses”. Then we get the normal ISC classes that I never also take seriously, only reason is because I think that the whole thing is unnecessary. Let me not be any ruder, but I just want to say thanks to my moms, for paying my varsity fees, I promise, I’m not wasting your money at all.

Other than that, the whole ECP programme is really like a holiday, but you still doing work, if that’s even possible to say.

Thanks for reading guys, Fraternity Boys, BHIEKS and LOUW

  1. Life is not just about "image". your image is the person you are, not what you study. I agree with your "stupid people" statement! but look on the bright side, mainstream students leave at 5o clock everyday.

seeing that u have a crush, why don't u approach her lol
Nice to see you show appreciation towards your mom paying your fees. take it easy and have fun! great reflection, ur honesty is awesome!

  3. I really enjoyed reading your essay. It was honest , and I appreciate honesty at all times. I have to agree with the ISC module comments. Overall, your essay made me laugh and the comments you made were not actually that rude. :)
